Our Instructors
Richard Walker holds certifications and ratings for ATP, CFII, and ASMEL. Richard is also a certified Cirrus flight instructor. Type ratings include CE 500 and MU 300. Instructing since 1977, Richard has over 6400 flight hours and 3600 instructor hours logged. When he is not flying, he likes to take photographs, prospect for gold and meteorites with metal detectors and go RVing in his motor home. He would like to train anyone who is motivated to fly or wanting to earn an additional rating.
Frank Magnussen holds certifications and ratings for CFII, MEI, ATP Single, and ATP Multi. Type ratings include Lear Jet, Citation 550, and Hawker 800A. Not only does he have a B.S. in Engineering, he also has over 10,000 flight hours, international experience, over 1200 hours of mountain flying, and is an aerobatic and tail wheel instructor. Currently he is teaching our Mountain Flying Course which he encourages every pilot to take. Frank’s hobbies include mountain biking, motorcycle riding and playing guitar. He enjoys training anyone who is interested in Instrument, ATP, or Mountain Flying.
Paul Lenehan holds certifications and ratings for Instrument, Commercial Single and Multi Engine Land. Originally from Ireland, Paul trained at Gillespie Field in San Diego, California. After moving to Colorado, he completed his CFI training at Fort Collins/Loveland in August 2009. When not flying, he enjoys being a passenger, exploring Colorado, going skiing, movies, music, and an occasional Guinness. He would love to teach anyone who is interested in learning to fly.
Scott Dedeker came to Colorado from Texas and has been flight instructing here in Colorado Springs since 2003. Scott has his ATP, CFI, CFII, and MEI with over 3100 total hours including over 1000 hours of Turbine time. He has experierence in many single and multi engine aircraft including Citations, King Airs, Cessna 421's, Beech Dukes, and Saratogas. Scott also has a military and law enforcement background as well.
 Jamie Hosmer holds certifications and ratings in Commercial Single and Multi Land, CFII, and MEI. He is also a tail wheel and aerobatic instructor, as well as a certified Cirrus aircraft instructor. Jamie earned his B.S. in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He is a First Officer flying the Candadair Regional Jet for Sky West Airlines, and he also enjoys teaching anyone who is interested in learning to fly. Warren Lowery holds certifications and ratings for Commercial Single and Multi Land, CFII, and is FAR 135 certified. He received a B.S. in Science at the University of North Dakota with a major in Commercial Aviation and hasn’t turned away from flying since. He has been a flight instructor since August 2004 and a FAR Part 135 Charter Pilot since March 2008. He likes to read, go hiking, backpacking, and almost anything outdoors. He would like to instruct anyone who is interested in flying especially in aerobatics, but is only available by appointment.
