As a private pilot, you’ll be in control of flying whenever, wherever, and with whomever you want, without the frustration of waiting and worrying about schedules, parking or security.

You can start at any age, although you must be 16 to solo and 17 to get a pilot certificate. After that, you can progress through Instrument ratings to Airport Transport Pilot.

Why Fly with Springs Aviation

Springs Aviation provides new students with a Program to learn how to fly. We have a fleet of fixed wing aircraft to provide training for Private Pilot, Commercial Rating, Instrument Rating, Certified Flight Instructors, Certified Flight Instructors Instrument, Multi-Engine Add-On and ATP Certification.

We have excellent Instructors including new CFI’s trained at our school and instructors with thousands of hours of flying experience.

Springs Aviation has the only formal on-going Private Pilot Ground School in our area, a six week course that covers all areas of the academics required to pass the F.A.A. written exam. In addition, Springs Aviation offers specialty ground school sessions such as Mountain Flying Course and other lectures suggested or requested from our renters and students. We are also an approved F.A.A. Testing Center for all F.A.A. Tests through Lasergrade.

Our Cat II Computer Aided Training Device is available at a reduced rate for our students and renters, along with free use of our training videos and training prep CD’s.

We provide support and work closely with Flying Organizations such as the Local Chapter of the 99’s, a Women’s Pilot Organization and Aviation Education Foundation of Colorado, a Young Pilot’s Organization.

Springs Aviation provides financing options for those looking for a career in Aviation. Our pay as you go plan allows the student to develop their own schedule depending on their economic and time requirements.

Students and Renters also have the luxury of using our on-line scheduler which allows the customers to book their instructors and aircraft at their leisure.
